In the summer of 1998 James and Gwendolyn Jurney founded Seize sur Vingt on Elizabeth Street, just North of Little Italy.

Following the tradition of the bespoke clothier, we make finely tailored clothing for men and women, whose fabrics and fit are both youthful and elegant. We have men and womenâs custom and ready-to-wear shirts and suits, sportswear, shoes, and beautifully made accessories. 

While the entire SSV collection is available only at 243 Elizabeth , we do offer a selection on our webstore, as well as at fine retailers all over the country. Our identity is based first on quality in materials and construction, and finally on the particular combination of a slim silhouette, and the best-quality fabrics we have chosen with our customers for years.

The shirt fabrics we use are woven in Italy, Switzerland, and Spain. They are Egyptian cottons, occasionally combined with silk, cashmere, and linen. Our suitings comprise a large selection of wool, mohair, cashmere, linen and cotton from the finest mills in England, Scotland, Italy, and France.

For our young store, whose inspiration and resources are from the oldest traditions in clothing, we hope this contradiction makes for a near-perfect style. Sixteen out of twenty, at least.
